About Adam Karpman

After growing up in New Jersey and attending college at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Karpman earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, followed by a fellowship in cardiology at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Karpman specializes in outpatient and inpatient clinical cardiology and has a special focus in non-invasive cardiac imaging such as transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac CT. Dr. Karpman is active in training the next generation of physicians and is a professor at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. Karpman is board certified in both internal medicine and cardiology.

Dr. Karpman prides himself on this excellent bedside manner and individualized patient care plans. He explains all treatment options and involves the patients and families in all medical decisions. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Karpman is married to his wife Jackie who is a pediatric speech pathologist. He has two kids, Leah and Noah, and loves living in Southern Maine. He has a passion for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cincinnati Bearcats.
