About Agnieszka Kronholm
Dr. Kronholm has been with Northern Light since 2016 and she has lived in Maine since 2003. She earned her doctorate from the University of Maine in Orono and attended internship training at the Greater Hartford Clinical Consortium. Her clinical interests include helping patients prepare for bariatric surgery, engage in health promotion behaviors, and manage chronic pain and illness. Dr. Kronholm also enjoys working with psychology doctoral students in their clinical training. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and cooking with her family.
Dr. Kronholm practices primarily cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which is an evidence based, present-focused, and time limited approach, customized to the individual patient. CBT focuses on teaching new skills to identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors. She specializes in Behavioral Medicine, a subspecialty of psychology, concerned with an interdisciplinary and scientific approach to maximize outcomes in the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of medical conditions.
