About Alec Anderson
As a full spectrum obstetrician gynecologist, my clinical practice is based on helping to gather information and explain treatment options so that patients can decide for themselves how to best meet their healthcare needs. I see patients with both high and low risk pregnancies as well as treat a variety of gynecologic issues.
I have extensive experience helping patients with issues such as preeclampsia and gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, complicated medical issues in pregnancy, trial of labor after cesarean sections and VBACs, history of multiple cesarean sections or complicated deliveries, and many other pregnancy issues.
I have a particular focus on minimally invasive surgery. This includes robotic-assist surgery, traditional laparoscopy, and hysteroscopy. I can help with both medical and surgical treatment of issues such as heavy and painful periods, fibroids, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, sterilization procedures, and removal of ESSURE devices. Additionally, I can help evaluate and treat issues such as contraception, prolapse, urinary incontinence, and many other gynecologic issues.
I completed both my medical school and residency at the University of Michigan and I have been in Maine since 2018.
