About Benjamin Scoll

Dr. Scoll grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A National Merit finalist, he graduated with honors from Haverford College with a degree in history. He then attended Temple University School of Medicine, where he was awarded the A. Richard Kendall award for excellence in urology. He completed his urology training at Temple University Hospital and the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia.

 

Dr. Scoll has published papers and a textbook chapter on topics such as kidney cancer, ureteral cancer, prostate cancer, and minimally invasive surgery. He has presented many research papers and video at regional and national meetings.

Dr. Scoll’s areas of interest include treatment of urologic cancers, male voiding dysfunction, and complex stone disease. He performs laparoscopic surgery, GreenLight laser prostate surgery (PVP), Rezum prostate thermal therapy, no-scalpel vasectomy, and advanced stone treatments such as percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). He has practiced in Maine since 2010.

In his free time Dr. Scoll enjoys hiking, running, camping, and all forms of skiing. He lives in South Portland with his wife and two children.
