Beverly Wood, PA

Beverly Wood has been practicing as a physician assistant for nearly 30 years in family practice. She has worked in various healthcare settings, including small primary care clinics, hospital-based satellite clinics, and independently owned family practice clinics. Beverly's expertise lies in managing patients with multiple co-morbidities, promoting preventative health, and performing minor procedures. She is skilled in suturing wounds, excisional biopsies, cyst removal, IUD removal, and Nexplanon insertion and removal.

She feels the key to providing quality healthcare is having good listening skills.  Over the years she has learned that patients are the best resource when determining what is wrong with them, providers just need to listen to help determine the diagnosis and offer treatment solutions. 

In the years she has been practicing the best changes she has seen in health care have been the mindset that patients should be empowered to make their own decisions regarding their care and collaborating to allow people to live their best life, on their terms.   

Beverly loves family practice as it allows her to provide care for newborns all the way to end-of-life care for adults. She has found the most joy over the years in caring for multiple generations of the same family.

Beverly holds certifications and licenses from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, the Maine Board of Medicine, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and a Physician Assistant Certificate from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.

In her free-time she enjoys travel, reading, and watching her kids play sports.
