About Christopher Pezzullo
Christopher Pezzullo, DO, has been a member of the Harry E Davis pediatric team for more than four years.
He moved to Maine from metro New York City in 1989 to attend medical school in Biddeford and never looked back. In his time here in Maine, he's been a general pediatrician, a high-risk newborn pediatrician, a professor, a medical director and the chief health officer of Maine DHHS. He continues to work part-time to support safety net healthcare and am also currently a graduate student at the University of Souther Maine, studying for a Master’s in Public Health.
He likes to practice patient-centered pediatrics, meeting families where they are and employing shared-decision making. He loves every aspect of pediatrics but am particularly drawn to behavioral health (perhaps it is genetic, as his grandfather was a psychiatrist) and appreciate the team approach required by pediatrics as well as focusing his care on children as individuals.
Dr. Pezzullo is married to a hospice nurse and has two adult children; his son is a farmer and community organizer in the Hudson valley of New York and his daughter is a first grade teacher in Midcoast Maine. He loves gardening, hiking, and avidly practice yoga.
