About Elizabeth Allen
Prior to entering the medical field, Betsy earned her Bachelor of Science degree followed by her master’s degree in education and taught middle school for 10 years. In 2016, she decided to go back to school to fulfill her dream of becoming a family nurse practitioner. Betsy worked as an RN in the hospital’s Emergency Department for about two years before moving to North Carolina while she finished her nurse practitioner program at Duke University. Betsy completed her Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner certification through Duke University in August 2025.
