Elizabeth Gittinger, MD

Dr. Gittinger has been at Northern Light Mercy Women’s Health since 2013. Her favorite part of being an Ob/Gyn is getting to take care of women throughout their life- from pregnancy to menopause.  

Dr. Gittinger first came to love Maine while vacationing as a child, and later attended Bowdoin College. Originally from Massachusetts, she returned to attend University of Massachusetts Medical School (Now UMass Chan) and complete her residency at Boston Medical Center. After two years of private practice and six years of academic medicine, she found herself back in Maine.

Outside of the hospital, Dr Gittinger loves traveling, spinning, and spending time with her family.
