About John Brenner
Dr. Brenner earned his medical degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Fort Worth Osteopathic Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. He is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Brenner has vast experience working in the hospital setting. After operating in a private practice setting and rounding on his patients in the hospital daily for more than two decades, he became a full-time hospitalist 12 years ago. He has worked in hospitals in Fort Worth and, most recently, Lubbock, Texas.
Originally from Pennsylvania, he ended up stationed in Texas, where he met his wife and pursued his medical career. The couple have wanted to make the move to Maine for several years and looked at houses here off and on for about a decade. They found the perfect fit for them two years ago in St. Francis. For the past two years, he has commuted from Maine to Texas, working two weeks on and two weeks off at the hospital in Lubbock.
He is thrilled to have found a position at AR Gould Hospital, allowing him to live full-time in Maine with his wife and their dogs.
