About Joseph Young
Dr. Joseph Young is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement of the hip and knee. His expertise includes direct anterior total hip replacement, total and partial knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, robotic-assisted joint replacement, and the treatment of trauma-related injuries.
A native of Massachusetts, Dr. Young completed his undergraduate degree at Yale University where he was an all-conference defensive lineman for the football team. He received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts and followed with residency training at Albany Medical Center in New York. Dr. Young then completed advanced fellowship training in hip and knee replacement surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where he was trained in the latest minimally invasive techniques in joint replacement surgery.
Dr. Young is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters in addition to presenting his research both locally and nationally. When he is not seeing patients, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing golf.
