Josh Mayich, MD

Dr. Josh Mayich earned his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario, his residency in orthopedic surgery at Queens University in Ontario and his fellowship in adult foot and ankle reconstruction with additional training in orthopedic trauma surgery at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto.  He also completed a visiting fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Mercy Foot and Ankle Center and was awarded the coveted American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society traveling fellowship.  

Dr. Mayich brings skills and experience which will allow us to expand our services in the foot and ankle care and other areas.  Dr. Mayich performs ankle replacements, robotic and AI-enabled surgery - particularly joint replacements and limb surgeries, advanced ankle and hind food surgeries, and adult reconstruction surgeries to improve quality of life because of congenital or acquired deformity, trauma, and other causes. Dr. Mayich is experienced in managing surgical complications and infections.  

Dr. Mayich and his wife Naomi, and their three sons chose to come to Aroostook County due to their connection to farming. The family has a multi-generational operation on Prince Edward Island, where they farm hazelnuts and European hops varieties. They are hoping to become part of the agricultural community here for generations to come.

Dr. Mayich loves the Red Sox and New England Patriots! He enjoys the culinary arts - with particular interest and fomal training in beer, flavor pairing and sauces.
