Julie West, NP

Julie West is board-certified as an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner with additional certification in hospice and palliative (supportive) care.  She received her undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut before going on to Boston College’s direct-entry MSN program.  She has been practicing as a palliative care nurse practitioner since 2013 and came to Northern Light Mercy Hospital’s palliative care team in 2016.  Julie has a particular interest in incorporating palliative care earlier into patients’ care to improve quality of life from diagnosis of life-threatening diseases onwards.  During her free time, she is a mother of two daughters, and enjoys block printing, orchid growing, and yoga.
