About Kathryn Hanna
Dr. Kathryn Hanna became an orthopedic surgeon because she wanted to help patients heal and get back to the work and activities they love. She focuses on patient centered care and believes the ability to fully listen to her patients is a critical skill as an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Hanna has practiced orthopedic medicine for ten years and is board certified in orthopedics, holding an additional board certification for surgery of the hand. She was trained in the Navy and at Harvard, giving her diverse exposure and experiences and the opportunity to be a part of multiple research publications. Dr. Hanna is a Naval veteran of 11 years, from which she says taught her invaluable lessons. Her current clinical interests are nerve problems, carpal tunnel, thumb and arthritis, fractures of the hand, and all wrist and elbow issues. Dr. Hanna was born in Germany and lived in various stations as an “Army Brat”. She now lives in Cumberland Foreside with her husband and son. She enjoys hiking, camping, and all things outdoors as a Wilderness First Responder/Outward Bound guide.
