Kimberly Lieber, MD

Dr. Lieber grew up in Rochester, Minnesota, where she met and married her high school sweetheart, David. Following medical training at Northwestern University Medical School and the University of Missouri Health Sciences Center, Dr. Lieber began practice as a general surgeon in the Boston area.

After surviving a cancer diagnosis in her early thirties, Dr. Lieber decided to dedicate her career to creating a practice for women facing a cancer diagnosis that centers the patient's experience. With that goal in mind, she moved to Maine and was one of the founders of Northern Light Breast Surgical Care at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, the first practice in the Bangor area exclusively dedicated to surgical diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Dr. Lieber is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Board-certified general surgeon. She is also certified by the American Society of Breast Surgeons in Breast Ultrasound.

When not taking care of patients, Dr. Lieber enjoys hiking with her two dogs, Rosie and Mellie, playing the French horn, and skiing.
