Lisa Barry, PMHNP

Lisa Barry, PMHNP is a nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatry. She brings more than 30 years of psychiatric experience to Mercy’s Behavioral Health Consult Service where she is employed as the lead psychiatric nurse practitioner.  Other areas she has worked during her journey in psychiatry were as an RNC in psychiatric and mental health nursing at Southern Maine Health Care’s Behavioral Health Unit, the Partial Hospital Program and Psychiatric Emergency Department, the latter of where she worked while obtaining her Advanced Practice Nursing Degree as a nurse practitioner.  She also obtained a master’s degree in social work prior to her advanced nursing degree and incorporates a strength-based approach which allows individuals to capitalize on their strengths in the interest of improving their quality of life. In addition to her fulltime job at Mercy Hospital she has a private practice in Scarborough where she provides outpatient psychiatric medication management to an adult population.
