Melissa Tsomides, PA

Melissa Tsomides, PA-C received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Classics from Bowdoin College.  After a period of work in drug research, she went on to earn a Master’s degree from the University of New England Physician Assistant Program.  She has since served on the adjunct faculty within that program.  She continues to participate in the Test Materials and Development committee for the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).  Melissa has cared for patients at Mercy Hospital since joining Portland Surgical Associates in 2004, and as a member of the Internal Medicine/Hospitalist Service 2006-2007.  She has continued to work in General Surgery since that time through the eventual acquisition and transition of the practice to Northern Light Mercy Surgery. 

Away from work, she enjoys taking in all the sights and sounds that the coast of Maine has to offer, and spending time on Lake Winnipesaukee with her family and pup.
