Rodolfo Aldir, MD

Dr. Rodolfo Aldir first joined Northern Light Cardiology Presque Isle at AR Gould Hospital as a temporary provider in September 2021.  He decided to stay at the hospital on a permanent, full-time basis as of December 2021.

He completed his internal medicine residency at the Canton Medical Education Foundation in Canton, OH, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Metro Health & Mount Sinai Medical Center, in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Aldir is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine/Cardiovascular Disease and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Aldir has more than 25 years of extensive cardiology experience both in the hospital and outpatient practice setting.  He brings expertise in preventive cardiology, acute cardiac care, cardiac rhythm device management and implantation, and long-term management of chronic cardiac conditions.

Under his leadership, in the only cath lab north of Bangor, Northern Light Cardiology Presque Isle offers an extensive spectrum of care to all patients in the region, including basic EKG’s, echocardiograms, TEEs to diagnose and evaluate valvular heart disease, nuclear stress testing, stress echocardiograms, diagnostic left heart cardiac angiography, complex cardiac rhythm pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, device program management, and right heart catheterization procedures. 

Dr. Aldir credits the patients and staff of Northern Light AR Gould Hospital for his decision to stay full time.  He and his wife, Ligia, have moved to the area and plan to enjoy many more years in the County.
