About Stephen Thompson
Dr. Thompson is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon who specializes in diagnosing and treating people with injuries or conditions of the knee and shoulder. However, just because he specializes in sports medicine does not mean you need to be an athlete to see him! Being a sports medicine specialist simply means that he is interested in those conditions that are common in active individuals.
This includes ACL tears, shoulder dislocations, osteoarthritis, rotator cuff tears and many others.
I completed my orthopedic residency at the University of Maryland, and completed two additional years of fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine at the prestigious Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic at Western University in Ontario, followed by a second year at the Oakville Sports Injury Clinic in Ontario.
I look forward to participating in your care!
