About Theodore Curtis
My name is Theodore Curtis, M.D., and as a pediatric ophthalmologist I specialize in all aspects of children’s eye disease, including medical and surgical treatment for congenital eye conditions, crossed eyes, diabetic eye conditions, eye misalignment for children and adults, inflammatory eye diseases, tearing, and vision problems.
I am a graduate of University of Maine, and received my medical degree at Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. I completed my residency in ophthalmology at University of Colorado, an internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati and a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University. I am a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
I was born and raised in the Bangor area. I came back to Maine in 2021 to give back to the community where I grew up. I’m currently living in Bucksport. When not at work, you can find me enjoying gardening, reading, hiking, biking, hunting and working on the house.
