About Wayne Kruithoff
Dr. Kruithoff has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda MD, where he received a commission in the United States Navy. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, VA, and Cardiology Fellowship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, where he was subsequently stationed as a staff cardiologist for five years.
Before joining Northern Light Mercy Hospital, Dr. Kruithoff was a partner with Cardiovascular Consultants of Maine sited at Maine General Medical Center in Waterville, Maine. While with Mercy, he completed eight years as a Medical Officer in the US Naval Reserves for a total of 24 years of Active-Duty service. In 2020 Dr. Kruithoff retired at the rank of Captain in the US NAVY.
He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine.
